Assessment of future water demand is integral to effective water resource management. In 2010 Spokane County Water Resources in conjunction with the consulting firms Tetra Tech and CDM developed a Water Demand Forecast Model.  The model is capable of forecasting demand for numerous water use sectors, at various spatial scales and time horizons.  The demand model also incorporates factors that impact water demand such as weather. Download the 2011 Water Demand Forecast report that fully describes the forecast model including the methodology and data used for development, components and structure of the model, and future water demand projections for Spokane County.
